Sustainability is central to SENSAL's innovation strategy. To support a cleaner, more sustainable Uganda, the company plans to establish the Sensal Electronics Recycling Centre, an integrated e waste management and resource recovery facility designed to operate alongside its planned electronics assembly and PCB manufacturing operations.

Responsible Resource Recovery

  • Collection of obsolete and damaged electronic devices
  • Device refurbishment and reusable component recovery
  • Recycling and valuable material extraction
  • Safe handling of hazardous electronic materials

Environmental Impact

  • Reducing electronic waste entering landfills and informal disposal sites
  • Preventing soil, water, and air pollution from improper disposal
  • Recovering valuable materials for reuse, reducing demand for new raw materials
  • Lowering carbon emissions through refurbishment and recycling
  • Promoting responsible consumption and sustainable manufacturing

Circular electronics

Our vision

The goal is to turn electronic waste into a productive resource. Schools, businesses, government institutions, and individuals will be encouraged to return obsolete or damaged devices for responsible processing.

Integrating e waste recovery with local electronics manufacturing can reduce dependence on imported components, improve resource efficiency, and strengthen Uganda's technology manufacturing ecosystem.

Industrial impact

Driving Uganda's green economy

Beyond environmental protection, the initiative will create green jobs, support local manufacturing, encourage innovation, and strengthen Uganda's circular economy.

Engineers, technicians, researchers, startups, and educational institutions will be able to use recovered components for repair, prototyping, research, and product development.

Sensal aims to become a regional leader in sustainable electronics manufacturing and responsible e waste management, demonstrating that innovation, industrial growth, and environmental responsibility can build a cleaner, more resilient, technology driven future for Uganda and the region.
